Do
you feel like you have exhausted everything that
usually works for you and that you are starting
get really frustrated?
-
Do you want to change some patterns that seem to be getting in the way of your success?
The
above questions represent some of the reasons
why you might be looking for help.
-
Together we will determine whether counselling or coaching is appropriate for you.
The
following represents some of the beliefs that
I personally bring to my role as a counselling therapist:
"It
is a privilege to be in the presence of an individual
who is seeking help and I must always recognize
that my role of a "safe witness" is
a sacred one. "
"Individuals
who seek counselling or coaching services from
me have already taken a significant step towards
resolution of their issues. "
"We
all do the best we can with the resources that
we are able to access at the time. "
"Some
of the most difficult situations bring the most
growth. "
"The
answers to our problems lie within. My
work, as a coach and a counsellor, is to safely
help my clients uncover the knowledge and resources
that are temporarily hidden from view and to
challenge individuals, and where appropriate,
help them move out of their comfort zone."
"Sometimes
clients need help to develop skills to enhance
their relationship with themselves and others. "
If
you are looking for some practical
assistance
please read on:
I
have been been described by many of
my clients as someone who is easy to
talk to, authentic, and compassionate.
I
certainly recognize how important it
is to help clients feel comfortable
about the coaching or counselling process.
I
have been a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#0609),
in the province of BC, since August of 1992. I have
provided counselling services for over 20 years and
presently see clients in Yaletown. I have trained, and continue to train with the College of Executive Coaching, a well recognized, post graduate institution.

* I
do not ever request testimonials from
clients. Any testimonial from
a client, that appears on this site,
was provided spontaneously at
some point in the latter stages of the
counselling process.
Note:
The following excerpt from the B.C. Association
of Clinical Counsellors Code of Ethics
explains why this can be an issue.
"Registered
Clinical Counsellors who use testimonials
do not solicit them from clients or other
persons who, because of their particular
circumstances, may be vulnerable to undue
influence."
